Eisner-nominated writer Mark Waid (The Amazing Spider-Man, Kingdom Come), who co-created Hunter-Killer with Top Cow founder and CEO Marc Silvestri in 2005, will pen the story. Providing art will be rising superstar Kenneth Rocafort (Madame Mirage, Astonishing Tales), who drew the final four issues of Season 1 of Hunter-Killer.

“I can’t wait to work with Kenneth again,” raved Waid. “He blew my mind when I first saw his Hunter-Killer pages during the first run. To be brutally honest, it’s rare that I see a new artist whose work doesn’t feel redundant or a clone of something else already out there. Kenneth’s energy knocks me out.”

“This is a dream come true to draw one of my favorite teams of all time, Cyberforce,” said Rocafort, who was a fan of Top Cow books well before he started drawing for them. “And to combine that with the characters of Hunter-Killer, which I love to draw, and working with Mark again, this is an exciting project for me.”

Cyberforce is a team of unique individuals granted with superhuman abilities via cybernetic implants created to be the pawns of a corrupt and evil corporation. Having defeated their creators, they united to fight the battles no one else could. Hunter-Killers are a group of Ultra Sapiens—a genetic super race living in secret because they are walking weapons of mass destruction - who monitor and police their own to ensure the safety of planet Earth. Details of the crossover storyline are being kept under wraps for now.

This time of year, the Midnite Movie Mamacita has really gone out of her tree!

The stocking snuffers begin with a screening of BLACK CHRISTMAS (1974), the Father Christmas of all slasher pics, about a homicidal maniac loose in a sorority house during the holiday break. Olivia Hussey (HEADSPACE), Margot Kidder (THE AMITYVILLE HORROR), John Saxon (TENEBRE, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET), and Andrea (SCTV) Martin star as several coeds who may or may not become mincemeat pie filling before the final reel. “It’s a Wonderful Knife,” indeed!

Next, pucker up for a trip under the galactic mistletoe with Oklahoma alt rockers Flaming Lips and their legendary Christmas on Mars, the umpteen-years-in-production home-made 16mm epic reportedly inspired by such diverse sources as The Wizard of Oz, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Eraserhead. Love it or hate it, rest assured that in the annals of bizarre weird Yule cinema, it easily beats Pia Zadora’s 1964 Santa Claus vs. the Martians. . .which, come to think of it, may well have been an influence, too.

Hector (Karra Elejalde: THE NAMELESS, NOS MIRAN) is relaxing on a lawn chair outside of his new country home, surveying the nearby hillside through a pair of binoculars, when he catches sight of what appears to be a nude woman amidst the trees. Hiking up to investigate, he is attacked by a sinister figure whose head is wrapped in a grotesque, pink bandage. Fleeing in terror, he takes refuge in a laboratory atop the hill, where a lone attendant (director Nacho Vigalondo) ushers him in to a peculiar scientific contraption. He emerges what seems to be moments later, only to find that he has traveled back hours in time, setting in motion a brain-twisting, horrifying chain of events when he inadvertently runs into himself.

Drawing from the best traditions of classic science fiction and crime fiction, TIMECRIMES plays games with the genre and the audience, giving the protaganist a Russian-doll like shell of identities that are shed so often that Hector can be playing one of any number of whodunit archetypes at any given moment as he becomes increasingly more complicit in the complicated mess that he’s trying to fix.

Says director Vigalondo: "TIMECRIMES comes from my love of classic science fiction and crime stories. Writers like James Cain, Philip K. Dick, or directors like Fritz Lang. The idea of building a tragic paradox with such few elements is my attempt to going back to the classics and trying to bring back something new."

Nacho Vigalondo’s TIMECRIMES (Spain) is the third film in Magnet’s “Six Shooter Film Series,” a series of six films highlighting the vanguard of genre cinema from around the globe. BacktoFrankBlack.com is a website we have created to serve as a hub for a campaign to bring 'Frank Black' back to our screens. As many of you will be aware, Frank was the lead protagonist in the 20th Century Fox series MILLENIUM. Created by X-FILES supremo Chris Carter and starring acting veteran Lance Henriksen the show went on to acquire not only awards but a massive cult following as well as breaking many of the boundaries of genre and crime serials at that time.

Since the show reached its conclusion it has not only retained its fans but found many new and enthusiastic supporters through its successful release on DVD and via constant repeat broadcasts throughout the world. It has spread its appeal globally and has inspired fan communities and websites hailing from as far afield as Western and Eastern Europe, USA, Canada, Mainland China and many more besides.

Due to the recent speculation that Lance Henriksen was to reprise the role in X-FILES: I Want To Believe" a huge swell of support and interest in the character was evident in all corners of the Internet. Webmasters were deluged with inquiries, message boards were flooded with shows of support and campaigns emerged on social networking sites and entertainment communities.
