AFTER DARK STARTS!
At last night's party in Los Angeles, After Dark horrorfest kicked off with the crowning of the new After Dark Horror Queen. All of the major Horror Thriller sites were there or were represented including, Dread Central, Girls and Corpses, and Bloody Disgusting. Some of the luminaries in attendance included Ryan Rotten (Fangoria), Robert S. Rhine (GirlsandCorpses), Ryan Schifrin (ABOMINABLE), Jeremy Kasten (THE ATTIC EXPEDITIONS, THE THIRST), Bob Burden (THE FLAMING CARROT), Spooky Dan (Bloody-Disgusting) and of course, last year's Miss Horrorfest 2006-2007, Black Betty. If I missed mentioning you, sorry, I didn't see you! There were a lot of people there.
Today begins the festival and there will be free posters for the films of Horrorfest 2007 and signings by some of the talented artists behind and in front of the cameras from the ‘8 Films To Die For’. Very cool stuff.

LONE STAR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Loyd Cryer of the Texas Frightmare Weekend tells me that the Lone Star International Film Festival is gearing up for this weekend with all kinds of movie goodies including
Horror, Thriller, Mystery, and Suspense! If you haven't guessed yet - that's my favorite kind!
Loyd also sez:
"We're particularly intrigued by SIGNOS (The Sign). A film guaranteed to be as dirty as it is horrific! Join the producers for this LSIFF screening 9:30 p.m. Saturday at AMC Palace 9 in Fort Worth."
This is a taste of this film from the Philippines.
"Louie receives a text message from the province that his father, Ulding, had a heart attack. Louie rushes to drive home from Manila only to find out that the message was nothing but a prank. Louie then senses something eerie about his hometown. He finds out there have been several killings in the barrio all done in the same manner. Apparently, the victim first hears some rumbling noise; that is before they are found dead all covered with mud."

FUTURE FORCE - From 1990. In the future, a bad cop named John Tucker, who thinks nothing of breaking the law and trampling on people's rights, is shocked to discover corruption within his own force and goes on a bloody one man witch hunt - armed to the gills! Not that he has gills. Well, he MAY have gills! Stars David Carradine (KILL BILL).
FUTURE ZONE - Also from 1990. John Tucker is back... well obviously, he never left but anyway, he's facing a future even more futuristic than his own! The Past! Well not his own past, but his son's past... it's convoluted.
IN THE SPIDER'S WEB - Lance Henrickson (TERMINATOR, ALIENS, NEAR DARK), stars in this cheapie that will likely still have an effect on all of you arachnaphobes.
THE LEGEND OF OGRE - A female ogre! With red hair!
THE PRODIGY - Not quite Horror, in the sense that ICHI THE KILLER is not quite horror. But this film is some seriously hard core Thriller.
THE SLAUGHTER - A bad straight to video movie that pokes fun at bad straight to video movies.
TIME - Weird, mesmerizing, intelligent, and thought provoking. At least Japan is giving us the kind of Thriller movies that we want; and that Hollywood can't create. Oh well, the Neandertals died out too.
WEREWOLF IN A WOMAN'S PRISON - Horror, gore, and nudity. If you aren't getting enough free porn off of the Internet, why not pay for some very soft porn (nearly limp) in a Horror movie?

WRITERS CALL FOR STRIKE
UPDATE: In a last-ditch attempt to avert a strike, the Writers Guild of America will return to the negotiating table Sunday morning to meet with studios and networks.
News of the meeting emerged late Friday afternoon, a few hours after the WGA announced that its 12,000 members will go on strike Monday against studios and networks in the first major work stoppage in two decades.

END OF THE MONTH UPDATE
The expected boost from Halloween was unexpected in that the real boost came in the last few days. I went through my stats to find the cause only to discover that, on the three major search engines, in addition to being listed as the #1 Horror Thriller website, I'm also listed as the #1 Horror site under the search words, Top Ten Scary. And apparently enough people were searching for just that grouping of words.
Feoamante.com has no message boards, no registration, no online community of any kind, yet over 116,000 of you came here for no other reason than to read my 100% content, as this is a content driven site! Thanks yall!
