Sad fact is, even with a proof of concept, it can take a long time to get funding for a feature film.

In 2008, the idea of making a trailer to represent and raise funds for the non-existent movie you wanted to make, was winding down. Too many people were making trailers without having a clear idea of how to make the rest of the movie.

This is not as oddball as it may seem at first blush. Tons of successful movies and even movie franchises started out as nothing more than a pitch or movie poster. FRIDAY THE 13th comes to mind.

FRANKENSTEIN'S ARMY was eventually born from WORST CASE SCENARIO in 2013, only when the director and producers decided to keep the misshapen NAZI cyborgs and ditch the soccer game. A better movie is a platoon of soliders on a mission to find the bastard creating all of these horrors!
