APPARENTLY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SEES THE POCAHONTAS PLAIGERISM CONNECTION |

Way to go Roger, or Matt Bateman, or whoever. This image was also found at 9gag and thenextweb.
For those of you who have been sending me email saying that I'm reading what I WANT to read into this, I found this little gem today from way back on June 8, 2009 at SlashFilm. And the ONLY reason I found it was because I was SPECIFICALLY searching: Pocahontas Avatar.
This is a quote from AVATAR producer Jon Landau,
"...if Titanic had more than a bit of Romeo and Juliet in it, Avatar has more than a little bit of Pocahontas."
More than a little bit? AVATAR has got the entire Disney identical plot, story, motivations, AND characters! Not, you understand, the actual story of Pocahontas, but the Disney version of it. The only thing Cameron changed from Disney's Pocahontas was the place and the names!
Looks like we may be seeing another Harlan Ellison style lawsuit again.
For equal time, here is a
James Cameron fan who gives his imaginative take on the same TERMINATOR/HE issue. I say imaginative because this second YouTube maker defends Cameron by imagining what Cameron REALLY meant to say, instead of accepting what Cameron ACTUALLY said. Then, based on his imagined prediction of how Cameron really feels, tars those involved with drawing Ellison's attention to the J.C. interview, as well as Ellison.
"Your honor, if we don't steal our ideas, where are they going to come from?"
