There are times when a movie trailer gets you so excited to see the feature, that you are there on day one, impatiently waiting in a long line, sharing the anticipation with total strangers because that trailer and that poster promised an exciting ride.
Sometimes that promise is kept. Other times, like with the trailer for GODZILLA (1998), that cake was a lie!
Is it surprising to know that the people who made the trailer did not make the movie? They didn't, but they should have. Unlike the director and writers of GODZILLA, the people who wrote and directed the trailer knew exactly what the audience wanted.
