During our lunch at the Hard Rock, we noticed a hypnotically delightful waitress with rings through her lips and one in her nose. With her rather pronounced canines, our usually staid photographer, James, surrendered to her charms.

HERE WE COME, WALKING DOWN THE STREET
With the giant Simon Clark leading the way, how can we help but get noticed? Denver is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen in the U.S.A. As soon as Day 1 I began to fall in love with Denver.

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE CON
John Pelan (SHIFTERS co-written with Ed Lee),
who is also publisher at Silver Salamander Press, is well met in the dealer's room. Few people I have ever met in my life are as sunny and happy as John Pelan. Few people I have ever met write horror so ferociously as John. Must be therapeutic.

HUYCK and CLARK
Mikey Huyck (MIDNIGHT SWIM) meets Simon Clarke in the dealer's room. Unlike most other conventions, Horror writers rarely attempt to keep their fans at arms length, and Simon is one of the friendliest.

Alan M. Clarke (IMAGINATION FULLY DILATED), Horror artist and author, has not worked all these years to get where he is, only to share the booksigning glory with some flashy upstart! Here Adam teaches another fanboy a lesson in etiquette.

That night we put the cameras aside and went out and enjoyed the beutiful city of Denver and all it had to offer.
